On May 2nd we had the great honor of welcoming Dr. John Boone, Ph.D., a renowned expert in the field of breast imaging, to AB-CT!
After his exciting lecture “Three Decades of Research on Breast-CT” at the Pattern Recognition Lab of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), Dr. Boone and our CTO, Dr. Daniel Kolditz, as well as Dr. Christian Steiding, Head of Physics and Applications, had a very fruitful discussion at AB-CT’s R&D site in Uttenreuth.
Dr. Boone, together with Prof. Willi Kalender, the founder of AB-CT, is without doubt one of the pioneers and luminaries in his field. The discussion with Dr. Kolditz and Dr. Steiding, both former doctoral students of Prof. Kalender, was therefore particularly stimulating and productive.
We sincerely thank Dr. Boone for his visit and the inspiring exchange, which further deepened our passion for medical physics and breast imaging.
